For the third time, Buhari again absent at FEC meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, for the third time in a row has absented himself from the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday 3 May, 2017, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

However, yesterday witnessed a glimmer of hope when the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, and the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) Mailkanti Baru, emerged from the Presidential wing and briefed State House correspondents on what transpired in their respective private meetings with the President. The hope was however dashed today as the president failed to chair the FEC meeting. No reason has been give for his absence.
