Uyo, March 21, 2019: 1001+ Voices Initiative for People Empowerment (1001+ Voices), a non-governmental organization has congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, on his reelection as Governor of Akwa Ibom State for a second term.
The group said the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel is a clear and passionate indication of the people’s appreciation of his governance style.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the group, Obong Ide Owodiong-Idemeko, 1001 + Voices felicitated with the Governor on the renewal of his mandate by the people for another term of four years.
Owodiong-Idemeko described the reelection as “a testimony of God’s divine project.”

He urged Governor Emmanuel to champion the cause of bequeathing an economically stable and industrialized Akwa Ibom State, adding that the re-election of Governor Emmanuel has come at the right time necessary to reposition and build on the fortunes of PDP in the south-south region.

He encouraged Governor Emmanuel to be very public-minded in his renewed term by creating and implementing policies that would raise and place Akwa Ibom State on the required paths of growth and sustainable development.
‘’The re-elected governor should be dead-set on executing robust public policies as would rejuvenate the state’s economy and buoy up the social well-being of her citizens’’, he stressed.

The statement, which also noted that the renewed mandate should guide Governor Emmanuel to push for new vistas in governance delivery rested on a renewed commitment to meeting the salient ideals and vision of the state, would be much realized under the guided provision of more robust economic and social programs.
The statement, also congratulated all members-elect of the national and state assemblies on their presentation with Certificate of Return by INEC and reiterated the NGO’s readiness as a global pro-democracy organization to work in continuous support and solidarity with the re-elected government.
