Mama Taraba disqualified in APC governorship race

Aisha Alhassan a.k.a Mama Taraba: knocked out of Taraba governorship race

Aisha Alhassan, famously known as Mama Taraba has been disqualified from running for the governorship seat of the state by the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress.

Her disqualification was made known today in a statement listing all the governorship aspirants taking part in the direct and indirect primaries of the party on Friday.

She was disqualified by the screening committee of the NWC. No reason was stated.

But last year, Aisha had shown some disloyalty to the party and President Buhari when she said she would support former vice-president Atiku Abubakar in a leadership race against Buhari.

Also disqualified was Chief Osiobe Eric Okotie in Delta state.

A missing name in the list of aspirants in Rivers State was the 2015 candidate, Dakuku Peterside. He was not among the
