265 Nigerians return from UAE


Two hundred and sixty-five Nigerians that volunteered to return home from the United Arab Emirates have arrived Lagos.

The Emirates Airlines aircraft scheduled to arrive Lagos at about 3 pm, however, did not touch down until 7.40 pm because of a pregnant woman that gave birth on board and suffered some complications forcing the flight to take her back to Dubai.

The Regional Manager, South West, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Mrs Victoria Shin – Abah who confirmed the arrival of the evacuees said were profiled by security, health and border control officials at the Lagos Airport.

Findings indicated that they were moved to a hotel in Lekki paid for by the returnees which is going to serve as their isolation centre for the next 14 days after which they would be tested for COVID-19 before being allowed to rejoin their families.
